Our History
Modern Innovative Engineering Solutions (MIES) Ltd was founded in 2014 by a team of dedicated engineering professionals as a partnership headquartered in Akwa, Douala. From the outset, our objective has been to build a sustainable, continuously evolving engineering platform that delivers predictable, high‑quality solutions while fostering lasting relationships with professionals, local councils, government agencies, trade contractors, and suppliers.
Our mission is to provide dependable solutions to industrial, commercial, and residential engineering challenges locally, with a vision to expand internationally. Today, beyond our base in Douala, we operate nationwide and are preparing to establish additional branches across other regions.
MIES began as a contractor specializing in inspections, testing, and certification services for marine and protective coatings projects in corrosion control engineering within the oil, gas, and energy sectors. Over time, we expanded into painting projects for marine and industrial structures, as well as architectural coatings for industrial, commercial, and residential facilities.
In 2018, aligned with our commitment to industrial maintenance solutions, MIES broadened its capabilities to encompass agriculture, civil engineering, mechanical works, electrical, instrumentation, telecommunications, and contracting services. We take pride in delivering bespoke services tailored to meet the unique needs of our clients.
